Lupus Info

My cousin has just been diagnosed with Lupus and I've been trying to find a specialist or a doctor online that could give all the information about the autoimmune disease, but no one will reply to my emails. Does anyone know of someone that I could talk to? I need to know everything.

There are many websites available for information on lupus. Just search Google or even Yahoo and you'll probably be able to get some basic information. Lupus Foundation of America at might give you some info.

If your cousin has a doctor you might want to go with them to a visit and then ask some questions. Most doctors are willing to answer questions face to face. Your cousin should have a doctor to treat this disease as it is very treatable. Please don't ignore the diagnosis and please get treatment.

A rheumatologist is the specialist you would want to seek out for lupus treatment. Good luck in your search.

Hi there, so sorry about this diagnoses. I myself have been surviving with lupus for over 50 years. I will say it can be a very difficult disease to manage at times, however, it is survivable. I have created a private lupus support group & non-profit. You may contact me at for more info. Best wishes!
