    Exciting News for WebMD Members!

We've been busy behind the scenes building new message boards for you. You'll have new and easier ways to find messages, connect with others, and share your stories.

And, this will all be available on your smartphone or other mobile device!

What Do You Need to Do?

The message board you're used to will be closing in the coming weeks. While many of your boards will be making the move to our new home, your posts will not. Want to keep a discussion going? Dr. V and fellow Lupies, I have Behcet's Disease and Lupus... could this be related?

Hello! For quite some time I have been dealing with a (for lack of a better term) rash on my face. It really isn't a typical rash because it is visible under the skin, the skin isn't broken or raised and doesn't itch. It is purple dots/circles, purple/red squiggly veins and red/purple splotches. I am debating if this warrants a trip to the Dr. and the embarrassment of having to go without any makeup on! Does anyone else have this or have any idea what it might be? I would appreciate any guidance or information! It didn't show up very well in the pic, but you can get a general idea of it.

Definitely worth making the trip to the doc. Could be rosacea or a lupus rash, though hard to tell from the picture.
