What is our best option for conceiving? We are both planning on having it reversed. But we have also discussed invitro. I'm 39 and he's 43 and we want this more than anything... I'm curious if anyone on this forum had the same situation and what did you do? I know age plays a factor... However, I also know it's NOT impossible:) He actually has twins in his family I'm looking for any & all advice/info. Our decision is also influenced by cost... I have NO idea how painful invitro can be or the success rate. Thank you for your help/input.

Since you are both needing reversals it might be best to move onto the IVF. Vasectomy reversals are very successful if done by a skilled microsurgeon. I'm not sure how successful tubal reversals are so seek out that information with a specialist in the area. Fact in the cost of both procedures and the cost of IVF... Are you only wanting one child together or multiple? If multiple, the reversal might be more cost effective.
