the DH and I have been TTC for FOREVER!! we've had several sa and its been determined that he is the issue. He has no motility and pretty awfull morphology. his count is good, which is good. we're about to have another sa done to see if some lifestyle changes will effect anything. our next step is surgery for his varicole vein. anyone have any luck with that?? what else can we do?? i'm at my wits end and he is too. we've never been preg and he has no children. any thoughts would be helpful!

No motility is a sure bet to infertility. It is good that he has nice production now to see if the quality of that sperm can improve with just the lifestyle changes or if needed the varicocele repair. A varicocele can cause a lot of damage to sperm since they are very sensitive to temperature and the varicocele causes the testicles to over heat and sperm to die.

If still no luck you might want to discuss using donor sperm. It can be hard for men to be okay with the donor sperm but remember a father does not have to be DNA but rather the man that loves and raises that child.
