have heard somewhere it can take 3 months. So my hubby was take hot baths and it was ruining our chances for 3 months. I was so mad I didnt know that til I read it! Not sure if its true but he did it. So we'll see!

heard that too, but i also heard that it takes about a week so i don't know what is true. i hope an expert woould reply to this message soon.

Our RE informed us that it take 3 months from the time the sperm is developed until it is ejaculated. I am not an expert, but that was the information passed onto us.

glad to hear, i think by now he is clear and that was in june so hopefully now his swimmers are all better and ready to go! lol, he does have motilty issues but maybe that was also against him!

so r u saying that a man can ejeculate as much as he wants to but, if he wants to have a baby with his WIFE, he must wait at least three months?

no she is just saying that for them to mature it takes 3 months. You can get her pregnant anytime but like my husband was taking hot hot baths that were probably damaging his sperm and from that last bath he took in june he would just now be producing good sperm 3 months later. Make any more sense?

Regular ejaculations are needed to keep the sperm cells flushing through. Don't wait 3 months. Each day there is a new wave of sperm cells being released from the testicles so the ones released today started production 3 months ago today, the ones for tomorrow started production 3 months from tomorrow...
For example: If a man sits in a hot tub on vacation or engages in illegal drug use the sperm within the testicles are in various stages of production and are all affected by those activities. It will take a full 3 months to produce mature sperm ready for ejaculation that have not been impacted by the heat or drug use.

Hey Amy that is pretty much what I got out of the 3 month sperm production. We still baby danced the whole time but I knew that the ones where he was in the hot tub for those 3 months could have caused his motility counts to be lower when he was tested than say it would be now if he were tested. He was tested in March and in June and was in the hot tub in june so I am assuming that maybe 3 months from then Around now(september)he would have a better number motility wise or would be the best they could be as far as production wise. We have been TTC for 16 months so we are regular on the baby dancing 
Thanks again for all your help! Hubby goes next week to get his varicocele checked out again and look at his Seman analysis results from those two appointments. Maybe I should ask now if they want to do a new SA since he may have different results this time? Any thoughts?
