Determining the cause to a miscarriage is often impossible when trying to determine sperm or egg related. The most common causes are failure at implantation or chromosomal abnormalities as the embryo is developing. Both the egg and sperm contribute 1/2 of those chromosomes so hard to place blame. Good news if that the sperm did get the job done with a successful conception but unfortunately the conception did not go to term. Miscarriages are very common and some estimate 50% of pregnancies end in miscarriage. Keep trying and hopefully the next conception is a success and goes to term.
Your husband has a very low sperm count and this should be addressed. Make him an appointment with a local urologist that specializes in male factor infertility. Male factor infertility is often treatable or manageable.
