Clomid for men and success

Anyone used Clomid for a Male Factor Infertility and had success? My DH has poor motile sperm and morphology issues. We have been trying for 19mths. He goes back to the urologist on Wed and I am hoping they will prescribe something to help. He has taken Fertility Blend and finish it about a month and a half ago.He is now taking GNC Mega Man. We have had 2 IUI without success. I am taking a break until he gets some direction from his urologist. Any success stories with clomid for men would ease my nerves.

HI my husband has a varicocele and low motility and the urologist said his counts were borderline. So we did an IUI with 30 million sperm but were only able to use 5.02 million because that was all that was motile. Well it still failed. I have also done 4 other rounds of just clomid alone. We had been trying for 17 months and I had surgery the following month for endometriosis and severe scar tissue they found and hubby got put on vitamins, C, E, and zinc and I also started taking vitamins. His urologist said he had borderline low motility and to start the vitamins and give them 3 months to work and if nothing happened to try IUI again and then we could talk about possible clomid but to start with Vitamins first. My Husband started vitamins end of Sept and I found out I was pregnant this past Nov.12th the week of my 30th birthday! And here I am 9 weeks pregnant after us trying for 18 months of all that stuff I took and I know alot of it had to do with hubby taking the vitamins. Also could have been some me too, but I know the Lord had his hands in all of it also. Praying for you and the right decision for you and your family. I would keep trying the vitamins. When did he start the mega men? I would also add in Vit C, E and zinc as well. I can give you the dosage they gave my hubby if you want it or you can google the amount that will help increase sperm motility. Keep me posted on what happens and I would take a break and get my mind off things and let the meds have time to work. That is what we did and BAM it really happened and I never thought it would be possible. I hope this helps some and I would make sure and ask the urologist for more help for sure sounds like you are doing all you can for now oh and maybe try adding you some vitamins too. I got the GNC ones for women as well.

Great info. Well today he goes to the urologist, so Ill wait to see what he prescribes. He just started taking the Mega Men for about a week now. My DH is the type he can not be pushed to hard. So I dont want to shove too much at him. For now, I'll wait to see what the doctor says and continue to pray. Hopefully with the mega man and the fertiliy blend which he finish about a month ago...his number for this month should be much better. I am taking prenatal vitamins. This can be very stressful. He goes today at 2:30pm.

I know it has been a while since anyone has posted here, but I was wondering what happened with your husband and the urologist and what he prescribed for his particular situation? My DH has low motility and count, but has been on Megaman for a little less than 2 months, but without it with the sperm wash was at 12 million. I know the bigger the number we still have the same 20% chance, but if his numbers did increase that would mean (to me) that the vitamins he is taking is working and that continuing them, could be the best thing for a natural conception in the future.

Just really interested in your DH results.

Congrats to CandiceF83 on her pregnancy.

I am not pregnant but we should all take prenatal vitamins before pregnancy occurs as well as during. For my 3rd IUI his sperm doubled from the last IUI. It was 5 mill and now 10.46. I do think the mega man work. I go in on 2/8 for a pregnancy test.

Maybe Congrats will be in order for real!! LOL

sorry about it not working. I meant that for Babyparks. i was taking prenats consistently there for about a month, then i got dealt a blow and all the pills were too much and made me feel terrible. now that i am back down to four pills and got rid of 2, I will get back on my vitamin regimen.

Good luck on the test on 2/8.

Any news? We are gearing up for our first IUI attemp at the end of next week. It just seems all to sudden to be doing the procedure even though I feel like I have been waiting a million years for the oppurtunity to try.

Hi babyparks, I would lieke to know if your husband has a varicoceles repair before you found out your pregnant? My DH also has a grade 1 varicoceles we already went to urologist. He just gave vitamins and get back to him after 40 days. I just wanted to know if we can be pregnant even if without varicoceles surgery.
Thank you very much indeed.

Can you give me the dosages for the vitamins that you were on? My husband is on Vit C, E and Zinc, just regular dosage and it is not helping at all. Been several months.
