Three worrisome spots

Mel2day posted:
I have three spots on the left side of my body: one is a pink/flesh colored bump that has been there for a couple years and has never gone away. The spot itself does not hurt but area around it is tender. It will bleed if I accidently hit it with the razor when I shave and it looks like a little blood vessel is going through the side of it...looking on the internet and talking to my mom who works with a dermatologist, seems like it is pointing to basal cell and not a cyst. The 2nd is a darker than normal mole on the inside of my thigh that is a little smaller than the size of pencil eraser but not round in its border. The third is on the side of one of my toes, just a tiny dark spot. Neither of the last two hurt in anyway or have any other discomforting effects.

I did take the advice from my mom and have an appt next Wed (the day after my 31st bday) to have them looked at. But I am really scared that this might be something other just normal, that it might be the C-word. I am fair-skinned and have had a few sunburns in my almost 31 years, so it does scare me. Does anyone have any thoughts on what it might be?

Hi Mel2day -

Happy Belated Birthday! We wanted to check in to see how the appointment went, what did you find out?

I understand your concern and you made the best decision to have these areas checked out.

Hope you were able to get treated with little discomfort and worry,
Elizabeth
