I recently had 3 excisions done on my back. After the first procedure was done the pathology results showed no clear margins, so they went back in to remove a 6 inch section of skin...thankfully the margins were clear. I had another small excision done last week, again margins are clear. My Dermatologist said that I am very early stage melanoma, stage 2b. I am 53, have a strong family history of skin cancers and past sun damage. I will go back every 3 months for check with my Dermatologist, but, I am scared!!!
