Melanoma Reoccurence in Primary Scar
avatar
ArmFreckles posted:
I had a radical wide excision on my right forearm 5 months ago. Two other incisions were made for lymph node testing. I was classified as Stage 2a. Just in the last 2 days, 2 freckle looking dark spots have appeared on the primary scar. I was at the dermotologist just last month for a skin check.

What happens when there's a reoccurence on the scar? Does this change treatment? Do the new spots have to be cancer? I'm pretty frightened because of the risk of it showing up in other places.

Any guidence would be appreciated - thanks!
