    Exciting News for WebMD Members!

We've been busy behind the scenes building new message boards for you. You'll have new and easier ways to find messages, connect with others, and share your stories.

And, this will all be available on your smartphone or other mobile device!

What Do You Need to Do?

The message board you're used to will be closing in the coming weeks. While many of your boards will be making the move to our new home, your posts will not. Want to keep a discussion going? Save posts you want to continue (this includes your member profile story), so that you can re-post them in the new message boards.

Keep an eye here and on your email inbox, we'll be back in touch soon to give you all the information you need!

    Hello Rhonda!

I had the pleasure to moderate here for six months when the previous moderator changed assignments. I've been on the Women's Health community for almost four years now, and I'm really excited to be able to return here.

I'm 49 and heading into menopause myself, so I have a personal interest in the topic, too.

Hope to get a chance to learn more about you and everyone else soon,

Welcome back Byroney! About me. I am a fifty-five year old mother of two and grandmother of three. I have been married 36 years and have been blessed with a great life, great kids and a very good husband. I started menopause four years ago at 51 and have suffered most of the afflictions, hot flashes, mood swings, inability to sleep all night, tender super sensitive breasts, vaginal dryness, diminished libido, etc. I have been on and off HRT for four years. There is so much conflicting, scary and changing information that it is hard to decide whats the right choice regarding HRT. Despite menopause, life is still good.
    Byroney_WebMD_Staff replied to Rhondamay's response:
I am so glad to hear your upbeat story despite the challenges you've had. It sounds like you must keep very busy.

I'm a mom of two and grandmother to none, unless you count the two kitties my daughter has! My perimenopause decided to go the other way--I've had very close together (23-25 days) periods with heavy bleeding for the past four years. My normal cycle before this was about six periods a year, so I'm not excited to be "catching up."

I hit 50 in a few months, so we'll see where this goes next. Like you, my life is good.

Thank you again for the kind welcome,
