Could I be pregnant?

I am 52 and have had a partial hysterectomy back in 1991. For the past maybe 6 weeks my breast are growing and sore, my stomack has started to grow and at times I feel something that I can only describe as a stinging pulling type of sensation. For a while there I kept feeling sick but there was no vomiting. There does seem to be a lost of appetite though along with sudden mood changes. Could I possibly be pregnant? If not what on earth is going on? My VA doctor is a complete moron that pretends listens to me but does nothing more and bases his opinion on that alone. Please let me know if I should go outside the VA (which would be at my own expense) and see another doctor or am I just triping out

Mary Jane Minkin, MD responded:
Dear Chrissinamarie,
If indeed you had a partial hysterectomy in 1991, you are definitely not pregnant. One thought would be, could you have a cyst on an ovary? It could give you some of the sensations you describe. Like in all organizations, there are some terrific VA docs, and some that aren't so terrific. Could you ask your doctor at the VA if they could order an ultrasound of your abdomen and pelvis? That would be the best test to look for a cyst on your ovary, and would also tell you about any other masses that could be present in your abdomen. So if they would do that, that's an excellent place to start.
Good luck,
Mary Jane
