I am on the hcg diet(injections) and take HRT(estrogen and progesterone)-I have started bleeding( which I am sure is secondary to the HCG-if I stop HCG bleeding stops)-can the HRT be playing a role and should i stop them while on the HCG?

Mary Jane Minkin, MD responded:
Dear An_246974,
I'm not a big fan of the HCG diets; but indeed, the HRT may be contributing to the bleeding; so you may want to stop the HRT if you want to try to minimize the bleeding,
Good luck,
Mary Jane

Does bleeding only occur when you still have the Uterus or is it possible if you dont? I mean while taking HRT?

Mary Jane Minkin, MD replied to Lorena1414's response:
Dear Lorena1414,
Some women occasionally bleed from the vagina, even after a hysterectomy; but it shouldn't be related to estrogen therapy.
