I received these results from my doc, but don't know what they mean. Progesterone less than .05
LH serum 43.3
SSH serum 45.4
Estrodial less than 15

She's recommending a low,low dose Estran. I have had to leave an inbound call center job recently b/c of yo-yoing blood pressure due to high stress and anxiety. BP readings that made me feel dizzy and like I was going to black out. 187/114 ranges. I didn't know if my hormones were a contributing factor to my erratic blood pressure, but I do know that meds are easily able to control it outside of that job.

Where do you find plant based creams? I used to use an Arbonne cream that worked very well to level me out, but it wasn't regulated...it came in a pump. What kind of cream should I be using with these test results?

Mary Jane Minkin, MD responded:
Dear An_247129,
Why not go with a very low dose transdermal estrogen cream prescribed by your doctor? She could prescribe some well regulated creams, like Divigel or Elestrin, which are bioidentical and plant derived and regulated by the FDA? Your numbers are certainly consistent with perimenopause.
It is possible that part of your blood pressure instability is related to perimenopause; these transdermal estrogens should not be bad for your blood pressure, and might even help.
Sound like she is giving you good advice,
Good luck,
Mary Jane
