    Mary Jane Minkin, MD responded:
    Dear Deedle,
There are certain things that might help. Keep the house cool at night; and keep a dry nightgown next to your bed (so if you wake up soaked you can change without a big todo.) There are certain over the counter remedies that can help. Do check with your oncologist, but most folks do not have a problem (nor should they) with black cohosh (Remifemin) which is not estrogenic. Many oncologists will allow soy and soy products, so do speak with yours. And from a medication perspective, something like Effexor in low dosages (like 37.5 or 75 mg) can be very helpful.
And do some good exercise early in the day; not in the evening as that tends to keep folks up more at night,
    good luck,
    Mary Jane
