Chronic Foul Vaginal Odor for 13 yrs. Seen MANY doctors. No infections or diseases. Tried BV and yeast treatments. Tried all OTC deodorants/powders. Tried drinking much water, changing diet. Washing with water, with soap. Used natural cotton panties. Smell is equal to "days of unwashed butt". Friends, family, strangers have commented on my vaginal odor. I have smelled myself too. I am very clean person who showers daily. I can clear a room with this odor. I have to work jobs where I'm not exposing other people to my odor. I had to give up my social life completely. Last time I seen a DR for this..TODAY. No infections. No diseases. No constipation.I don't have sex. Its been 13 years since I've had sex. I have regular monthly periods. Light to medium flows. Approx 25 out of 30 days I have the foul vaginal odor Vaginal odor develops within 10 minutes after cleaning. 20 minutes and people around me can smell it and some don't mind telling me about it. I'm sick of this. I want my life back. Someone please tell me of any medications, remedies I could use. I've heard of one I can get through internet order but forgot name of it. Someone please help me. I have gotten nowhere with doctors.

Have you tried trimming or clearing the area some? Perhaps it's genetically related or connected ethnically? Perhaps you're missing some skin folds while cleansing? Douching too often?

Yes, went bald, trimmed, ect. No luck there. No, not missing any folds. That would be a dream come true for a easy solution. Nope, tried douching, not douching. Genetic maybe. Ethnic, I doubt it. Know many ethnic people and thay dont have my problem. This problem goes way above and beyond any simple cleaning issues, hair issues. I'm thinking it has to be some "rare" disorder of some kind. I find it impossible to believe there are no other women in this world that has the same problem as me. Recently tried Hephresh, no success. I have appt with a "Specialist" next month. Dear God, I hope she can tell me something other than "I dont know..." This will be my first "specialist" appt.

Hello, I started having the same problem - in am 50 and started noticing a strong odor - kind of sweet smelling and foul at the same time - about 3 months ago. Very noticeable to me and embarrassing. Tried showering more (twice a day), pads, powder, etc. NOTHING HELPED.

I work in a pharmacy and after some research on probiotics, I have been using RepHresh Pro B capsules (probiotic feminine supplement) now for 1 week - VOILA - almost no odor now. I will continue taking one capsule a day. Don't take regular probiotics as they are not meant for vaginal bacteria/flora.

Hope this helps you and others.

I had developed the same problem and could not figure out why I had started stinking. I was very upset and thought it was due to some of medications I was taking .Due to an unrelated problem I was told to start a probiotic (Acidophilus) then noticed the odor left when I stopped taking them the odor returned. Be aware that some are better than others and you have to give it time to get into your system also the Acidophilus that also contains fiber did not work for me so now im back to Acidophilus/probiotic . Good luck I hope this helps !
