Vaginal Dryness
billyboy1961 posted:
Does anyone have a solution? I have pain with intercourse, a discharge and an odor.

I have seen several doctors and tried several treatments. They all work until they are finished. Has anyone had this experience and come up with a solution? HELP!

Low estrogen after menopause can cause vaginal atrophy and dryness. Of course, I don't know if this is the cause of your problems. Only an exam can determine that. With the discharge and odor, have you been checked for infections?

Vaginal moisturizers and lubricants can ease the dryness but only vaginal estrogen can heal atrophied tissues. And if you stop using it, the symptoms will return.

There's a long-acting moisturizer called Replens. Have you tried that?
