Dear An_252495,
Unfortunately, our chances of developing high blood pressure do rise as we get older; and I'm not sure how much of this blood pressure problem is related to the hysterectomy, as it sounds like your ovaries were left in. Limiting extra salt may be helpful; and a good exercise regime will usually help as well. If your blood pressure remains elevated, then you do want to consider blood pressure medications; as unchecked high blood pressure increases the chance of developing heart disease and strokes,
Good luck,
Mary Jane
