bleeding after 1+ years with no period

Hi I am a 46 year old mother of 5. My youngest is 13 and I had my tubes tied after her birth in 2000. I have had menopause symptoms for the last 2 years and my dr saidl premenopausal.. no period for over a year then this morning I noticed cramping and bleeding, not a ton but not expected. Any ideas?

There are a number of women who've posted here about bleeding after no periods for over a year. Oftentimes, it's nothing serious and is just some sporadic ovarian activity. But it's recommended that any post-menopausal bleeding be investigated to be sure there's nothing serious going on.
