I am in the first stage of menopause - sometimes going through my cycle that can be very heavy, to spotting to nothing at all.

Is there a good chance of getting pregnant if not using any kind of birth control?

Yes. It sounds as though you may be in peri-menopause, that is not the same as menopause. Which maybe you meant peri as being the 1st stage.
