I am 56. I haven't had a period in 5 years and assumed I was thru menopause. I recently had a full blown, all symptom period in August and am on the verge of getting another one this month. Can't understand what's happening. Any advice?

Dera wvujpb,
This is interesting! You definitely want to contact your health care provider-as any bleeding in this time frame needs to be investigated. It would also be interesting to check some blood levels of Estradiol and FSH, to see if there seems to be some reactivation of your ovaries, as you say you are feeling like you have had all the symptoms associated with a period.
Good luck,
Mary Jane
