Period after menopause?

I had a pelvic/rectal/vaginal exam in mid-September after I saw spotting about 2 years after my last period. Everything was negative with the exam--no polyps, nothing. Yesterday, I noticed I was cramping and having other menstrual symptoms occurring the exact time that I used to get my periods. I have been celibate for more than half a decade.

I am making an appointment to return to the doctor because of this but hope someone here can tell me something before the appointment.

Thanks.
