I just started taking sulfamethoxazole tablets a few days ago for prostatitis and here is what's happening...I have dull aching pains in my left side (rib cage area), and upper back. It looks like the area is swollen when compared to my right side. It is very painful after laying down for long periods.

Also, I have a similar pain in my lower abdomen. This seems to persist after eating (not related to stomach or hunger?). My mouth has been really dry and I'm always thirsty too. Now I'm starting a fever and feeling nauseous. Could this all be side effects from the antibiotics?...Or is this something more serious?
