slight ache in the left testicle

have had a hernia operation around 7 yrs back.things have been normal and i have been going for regular medical check ups every yr too.but sometimes i get this slight ache in the left testicle only and at times it results in a headache too.there is no pain in the abdomen area or in the lower back as what the others have said they experenced.i don't know the exact reason as to why this happens but then it goes away in about half hour and then its normal once again.there hasn't been any problem sexually eitheror during any excercising. could u please suggest the reason as to why it happens?
