I had prostate cancer surgery in 07/09. It robbed me of everything. Had implant in 08/12. as of this date, 10/12, still recovering but steady improvement. Kinda weird feeling but getting used to it. I cannot ejaculate semen cause I have no prostate but I CAN climax. However, is it what I call a "piss cum" so I always piss first so I don't make a mess....unless you might want to =;-} Is it as good? IT'S ACTUALLY BETTER. Incredibly intense. I can't keep quiet like I could before.
I'm not sposed to yet cause the cylinders are still getting set and I do experience some irritation after, but I can't resist. Have done it only 4 times in last two weeks. Being very careful about it using plenty of lube and a very light touch on my penis head only, which is SO sensitive since surgery that it's actually uncomfortable rubbing on my pants interior, but sure makes me climax!!
An experience of too much sweaty, itchy (until pubes grow out) mass (gives new meaning to "junk") between your legs is unavoidable but I invented a help for that, a cut off mini sock. Just cut it to shape around your genitals (a longer flap to fit under your balls), slip it on and the elastic holds it in place even while sleeping.
I don't know the cost. I don't even wanna see it but I will have to eventually. Medicare covers most of it.
    Hope this has been helpful.

I would let you. Why not?! I've had it manipulated so much before, during and after the surgery, genuine curiosity would not phase me. Besides, I'm gay =;-)

But if I interpret your user name correctly, we are too distant. Good luck to you.

Yeah, it's permanent unless something happens to force surgical removal. You definitely don't want to go thru the surgery again to remove is just cause you don't like it. The surgery makes for a painful recovery that can last for weeks, tho the discomfort subsides with time. Be prepared for that.

I haven't had intercourse yet and won't for at least a few more weeks. Might be tricky since I'm gay and that's a tighter fit =;-} but it gets nice and firm so i hope it works.
My surgery recovery had a glitch, a priapism not recognized at first because it was all so new. But that pain caused me to return to doctor after several days and it was discovered. An ultrasound indicated more blood was going into my penis than was going out so an angioplasty was needed to cut off the 2 main blood vessels feeding the penis. That worked. But god, what a trial!! They had never seen that before and I made medical history. Guess I'll be in the med journals according to my surgeon. Interesting side note on that. It explains why I was such a "long laster" all my life, never going flaccid quickly like most other men. Being gay, I would know!! That also explains why I ended up in emergency rooms twice when I tried the injection drug. You DO NOT want that to happen. It's excrutiating. And for those wondering, no drugs will work in any case if your erection nerves were corrupted by the cancer and had to be removed, as was my case, cause the drugs work on the nerves and if they aren't there....well.....

I just had the implant surgery, I opted for the rigid type, rather than the pump. I am satisfied with the implant, it didn't give me any more length or width, to be honest it is smaller now than before I had all these problems. If you think you will gain length this is not true, the implant isn't an extension, it just keeps your limp penis rigid so you can have sex. Depending on your original girth, you may gain some additional thickness, my penis was always very thick. Getting old just out and out sucks. If you have a long penis you may want to go with the pump, the rigid type is like having an erection all the time, but it is flexible enough to dress (right or left) like your original equipment. Over 6 1/2 inches it might be very noticeable through your clothes. When I was young I had that much, but since all this prostate trouble I am lucky to have 5 1/2 inches and its not as thick, I haven't tried Viagra since the operation to see if it will let more blood into the staff and head.

If I had to do it all over again I would, it gives me my confidence back that I can perform, but I am now a little self conscience (S?). 6 1/2 down to 5 1/2 doesn't sound like a lot, but it sure makes me think every time I see it in the mirror. Another thing I didn't think about with the rigid model, try going to the toilet with a constant hard on, it doesn't fit into seat so you can pee while sitting, I had to make up a container with a handle to have something to allow me to pee while sitting on the toilet doing #2. I know this is gross, but I didn't think about it before the operation, if this bothers you, you may want to opt for the pump up penile implant.
I hope this helps someone looking at this option.
I really wish I had a time machine :, I would never leave my 30's or even 40's.
