Sex is the prime motivating factor in any male's life. Like oxygen, it's only important if you're not getting any.

Certainly not the same " boy " Not only with the experienced gained through the years but also lasting much longer before orgasm.
When I was 18 or so and became active just the high expectation of having sex and getting excited about it made me orgasm wayyy too soon. It was more lust than anything else.

Ok - to answer the question in the title of the post - 17. To go along with the discussion - I agree the first time - even the first times (plural) we're just going through some motions that we've heard or read about that aren't very refined, accurate or satisfying. My first time was not a spectacular moment. I was so nervous and had no idea if what I was doing was good or bad. I also didn'[t have a lot of feedback from my girlfriend so I had no idea if my movements and techniques were enjoyable, painful or didn't make a difference one way or another. As Long states in his post I'm most certainly not the 'boy' I was almost 30 years ago. I've grown through interaction with different partners as well as learning what I enjoy, over the years. Back to HairyD's statement - I have definately made an effort to gain skills and improve for my and my partners benefit.

19 no confidence at all but once I was in it was wonderful hot and wet....... of couse came too soon...

Lost my virginity at age 24 to my wife. It was certainly exciting and my mind just couldn't quite believe what "we" were doing. Having sexual intercourse is still a special event that is almost mystical in its beauty and out-of-body feeling. Thankfully neither of are the same naive people we were back then and we have learned to be a bit more enthusiastic. I always hope that we get more experimental but I think after some 50 years of intercourse we have stagnated in our skill development.

13; in an "unofficial poll" trying to cut thru the LIES I feel the average age for guys is around 16; for girls, getting younger (the honest ones) 20 years ago was usually 15 to 18 when I "got personal enough with girls who were friends" to discuss it; now? 13 or 14 seems to be "norm".

I applaud admire and cherish what you and wife share! Wish I had that kind of love thru my life! You are lucky man and she is lucky lady! here's to 50 more years for you together!

I didnt know anything about lube... I only had a non lubed condom, and I had such a hard time getting in. I'm not a small guy, and I think she probably thought I was trying to act like a battering ram. I didnt even get it all in... maybe half.
It would be nice to know just how many guys knew what they were doing when they first went at it.
