Changing Migraines.....

Alright.... this is bothering me. I had my migraines under control for a while now...until this past month. Now they have gone from painful to DIZZY/TIPSY. The room feels and looks like its shaking. And my vision seems to be getting worse in this past year. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this with their migraines.

To reduce my stress level during the days as well and not raise my other meds my psych. doc has also given me xanax which seems to HELP with these issues a little (these issues started BEFORE I started with the xanax) and I am on a SMALL dose. I also take topamax. And Maxalt.

But these past few months I have been getting increasing dizzy spells, esp if I turn my head to the side some times. It can happen if I am just sitting writing here on the computer the room will start to look like its flipping, and thats new to me. I have had generalized pain and slight dizziness with my migraines but this is getting bad.

Any comments welcome. I have an appointment with my neurologist in June, but I may make it sooner with these spells coming more frequent (being almost daily)

I too have had changes in my migraines.
I went from just needing to hide away in the dark and have caffiene and maybe a snack, to losing vision in one eye, vomiting, spinning room etc. I take treximet pills they kinda work...not really i was on maxalt which worked for 5 years. I recieve nerve blocks every couple of months in the back of my neck/head which is amazing.

Pain free days to you!

It could be a side effect from your anxiety pills. Look up everything you're taking and check side effects.

the anxiety pills came after symptoms. :-/ They are given to help treat my migraines. My pysch doc and neurologist are both working on my migraines. Which is nice, my dizzy spells are sort of calming for now.I also just had my eyes checked and my eye doctor said ever since I was put on my migraine medicine my eyes have changed (prescription wise. So I got new glasses too. I have been trying to be less stressed, though with more health issues its HARD. I just got a full body bone scan from my rheumatologist and a few xrays of my knees and hands for other health issues. Yay,., :-/
