Facial numbness and dizziness

My doctor diagnosed me with migraines about two months ago but it feels like there's something more. I've had dizziness when sitting or laying down, dizziness when I stand up or move my head too much, Novocaine-like numbness on my right cheek, some pain on the teeth on my right side and some slight numbness on my right pinky and ring finger along with headaches on top, back, and sides of my head with some neck pain. I've also felt like I'm vibrating a bit when I try to sleep. I've already seen a neurologist but was only tested for seizures. Is this still Migraines or am I experiencing something else?

It sounds like migraine "prodrome" symptoms. There are also "postdrome" symptoms after a migraine that include light sensitivity, a rattling of the brain feeling, sleepines, etc. I had migraines as a child and was given an EEG and CAT scans to be sure they weren't stroke related. They went away after puberty and then started again after I had my kids. I always get a flashing light in my right eye about 20 mins before the rest of the symptoms start. Included are numbness on my entire right side including tongue and mouth, light sensitivity, disorientation, nausea, and inability to articulate (because of the numbness) my thoughts and words. It is very frustrating. I usually get the headache about 45 minutes after the initial light flashing and it can last 1 to 3 days. The headache isn't so bad compared to the continuation of the prodrome symptoms. I feel very fatigued and out of it for a couple days following my migraines. Thankfully, they don't occur too often, only once every few months.

Prodrome and Postdrom phases can differ for each person. It sounds like your symptoms are related to the migraines, of which there are several types. Hope this helps!

Thank you for responding. For the past two weeks I've been having feelings of vertigo when I stand up or lay down. A sort of sinking feeling. Have you ever felt like this? Because I'm worried that it might be something other than migraines.

I usually get a very disconnected feeling following a migraine. I wouldn't classify it as vertigo and definitely not for weeks. Maybe a day or two. Unrelated, I do tend to have low blood pressure and when I get any type of head cold or sinus infection I experience vertigo.
