bad headache from sneezing or coughing

Hi im 27 and i do not get headaches very often at all. the other day i coughed and got a really bad pain in the back of my head. now when i sneeze or cough it hurts bad, then lightens up a little. i take advil and helps for a while. then i cough or sneeze again and its back.. Kinda worried web md please help

I have a condition called Chiari I Malformation. What you are discribing is a classic symptom of Chiari I Malformation. I urge you to see a neurologist and get a MRI. Do you see a neurologist? Do you have any other symptoms?
