Topamax was prescribed along with morphine for a back problem & I was one that could eat Road Kill without issues but Topamax made me feel worse by the day with a metallic taste in the mouth.
After about 3 weeks I began to vomit and had diarrhea that went on for 2 days; since this was a new Dr he wanted me to try it again as he thought it was a stomach bug so I took it for a few days and vomited my guts up as well as being on the toilet.
I know Drs need to use caution with narcotics but I was prescribed dozens of seizure drugs, anti-depressants before and finally with MSContin; the drugs prescribed destroyed a perfectly good Road Kill tolerant stomach.
Neurontin turned me into an angry raging bull & I asked if anyone else had anger issues with it on another forum several years ago; out of the several hundred people on the spinal forum about 4 people responded that they to were like a mad drunk when taking it.
Effexor would disconnect my brain while driving; I would not go to sleep, was wide awake but would miss a few seconds while driving and was off of the road in a yard another time driving in the wrong lane on a highway with a lot of coal buckets on it; finally I quit allowing myself to be a Guinea Pig as I would be a dead Guinea Pig if I kept trying drugs that really did more harm than good.
Morphine has worked just fine for 11 years without tolerance issues taken care of by 3 X a day dosing after my 2nd year.
I don't trust the FDA to keep track of the medications that injure or kill clandestinely as nobody is looking for these in highway fatalities.
