Hello! My son turned 15 months on the 5th, and his doc appt is coming up in the next week or so. He has a hearing test on the 19th...is that normal to have another one at this age? Also...what can I expect at his 15 month check-up? Is it same old same old with check-up and shots?

Lilly just had her 12 month check and she hasn't had a single hearing test. I guess thats not right she had one when she was first born so I guess I'm no help.

Good luck! Let us know what they do

It's normal. If he had not passed the one at birth, you would have had a follow-up right away--within weeks of being discharged. The one at birth is really just a screener and cannot rule out mild hearing loss.

Well....he passed his newborn one just fine. I asked at the appointment and apparently all preemies at our hospital have additional ones at 1 years old and again after they turn 2. =) I think that's awesome and wish they did that for all little ones.
