Unnecessary worries in hindsight: examples wanted!

Parents of young children often worry; sometimes it is for good reasons (legitimate concerns about real risks), and sometimes the worry is for exaggerated, distorted or imagined risks -- which in hindsight we recognize to be unwarranted and sometimes silly and embarrassing in hindsight.

Can you give examples of some of the things you or other mothers you know have worried about excessively? Feel free to attribute all of these exaggerated concerns to other mothers, not you!!! The sillier or more irrational the past concern the better -- though these should be true, not fabrications!

The way the cut the cord determines what kind of belly button your baby will have.

If your baby is born at night he/she will automatically have their days/nights mixed up

Giving your baby solids before 6 mos will give them allergies
