For years now I have been having numbness and tingling in my hands and feet, double vision, a band of numbness around my spine, pain, stiffness, difficulty moving, and incontinence, and other plethora of symptoms, including difficulty swallowing and finding words.

also the other day my hands were freezing and numb for eight hours, and just this morning, my hands swelled for no reason.

Oh yes also the other day my hands were freezing cold and numb for eight hours, I have daytime exhaustion, and my hands swelled up this morning for no apparent reason.

Guess I don't deserve an answer. Thank you anyway.

i hear ya. i have not been dignosed but i am pretty convinced i have it after doing research. your symptoms seem to fit but lets hope you dont. i have started by making an appointment w my gp to get a referal to a neuro. not knowing is aweful so i guess you just have to pushing forward to get answers. I am happy to correspond w you if you want since we seem to be in the same sh!tty boat.

Hi Anon 157858! Do the symptoms get worse when you get hot? Intolerance to heat seems to be common in MS patients.
From what I've read here you have to find a neuro with MS experience. Even then it seems to take awhile to figure out so patience may be necessary. Everybody on this board seems to be helpful and empathetic so hang in there! We're all here for 'ya!

    shannonbalsley replied to tmmmw's response:
Thank you. I hate not knowing if i have it or not.
    shannonbalsley replied to lovesweinerdogs's response:
Yes my symptoms get worse in the heat.

Hey Anon_157858..I know where you are, I'm there wiht you just been there a while longer. I have all the symptoms you have and have done my own research also. I am with my 3rd Neuro and this specializes in MS, Have had three MRIs and the first two was told there were normal. The 3rd neuro says they are not that I have lesions and one on my brain stem which scares the weebe gebbies out of me. I see him again tomorrow and expect some answers. I too have had all the symptoms, and I live in the south and it is already hot here in the lower 80 and already have gotten worse, can't even stand to go watch my grandson play ball. I pray for help tomorrow and I pray for help to you. the biggest suggestion I would make to you is to go see a neuro that specializes in MS don't fool around with any that don't. this disease is hard enough to diagnose and a specialists knows so much more to look for where the others do not take you serious and will look over symptoms that are indeed important. Good luck to you,
    shannonbalsley replied to readyfordx's response:
Thank you for your advice. I will def take it into consideration. my doc is worried about me but does not know what to look for.
    shannonbalsley replied to readyfordx's response:
I am in Texas, it is hot here already, i had to stay in the car while my daughter went to her dance class. unfortunately I cannot pick my drs. I go through the VA health care system and they pick the drs for us.
    shannonbalsley replied to tmmmw's response:
    Hello Tara,

How are you doing today? I hope my dr. takes my symptoms seriously on the 31st when I see her. I told the nurse about my symptoms and she sent me a letter to see her right away. I guess she wants to know as badly as I do what is wrong with me.
    tmmmw replied to shannonbalsley's response:
    hi shannon,
i am going to the doctor today. i am pretty nervous just because last time i felt like he thought i was crazy but this time i have a lot more "evidence". i also live in texas. i also have some kiddos, 2 boys ages 3 and 4. anyway, i am so glad it sounds like your doctor is concerned and is getting you in. you keep me posted and i will let you know what my doc says today. thanks for checking in. have a good day!
    kellat70 responded:
I'm having a lot of the same problems. The numbness/tingling in my feet, band around my waist and now my vision is blurring. Saw a neurologist after having an MRI done. He wants to do 2 more MRI's, but this time with dye. I'm still waiting on an appointment for that and its been well over a month. I've been miserable for over 3 years now and finally got an MRI done and now feel like I'm being ignored. I'm pretty confident that I have MS after doing my own research but now I just need a dr that wills support me.
    readyfordx replied to kellat70's response:
