I have ms and am currently taking Betaseron shots. My nephew has chicken pox and I know I had them as a kid. Is there any danger for me now being around him?? Can you get chicken pox again?

    Neil S Lava, MD responded:
Betaseron is limited in it's effects on the immune system. People who us interferons are not more prone to infections, etc.
If your immune system is otherwise normal and you have had chicken pox, you should not be at risk if exposed to your nephew.
