Possible MS diagnosis
nana2el posted:
Dr. Lava,
I have a diagnosis of "possible MS". Is it common for possible MS to be declared as definite later on?

Thanks for your time.
Neil S Lava, MD responded:
Sometimes patients have a history or an MRI that is concerning for MS. There might not be enough evidence to support this diagnosis and we will watch the patient clinically.
At some point a symptom, clinical finding or change in MRI will occur that helps us make the diagnosis of MS. However, not everyone with "possible MS" goes on to have this diagnosis.
