Hello, I have had many episodes with different symptoms but this left-sided tingling and numbness is new. My neurologist just called and wants to do a repeat MRI as soon as I get my external fixator out on Monday. I am also supposed to ask if solu-medrol is safe for me as for as risk of infection of fractured wrist after surgery to remove external fixator. I hope it is if needed. My wrist is oozing as it is out of one hole of external fixator. My orthopedist put me on 875mg of Augmentin. I hope whatever can make this very ODD sensation go away. Thank you.

Hi goombay89

While a set of MRI's will likely do no harm it is possible you are expierencing these new symptoms because of an infection in your wrist or quiet possibly the stress related to your injury.

If the does not settle down on their own then an MRI would be a good idea just to make sure nothing new is going on
