Concerned and worried.

I haven't been here in a long time. Still don't know anything. Friday I went to my dr for a normal check up, when he was done his nurse left the room, which was odd because usually she stays because I have a male dr. He said he saw things he didn't like! He asked what my Nuro or primary dr's have done and I told him nothing since everything is "normal" well he said that wasn't good enough and left the room and called a Nuro in the city and she is supposed to call me and set up a date and time to come in. Now I'm starting to freak out a bit. I'm waiting on lab results as we'll. anyone else deal with dr's who don't try and figure things out?

Hi Heather,

When I had my first attack, my GP blew me off. I saw a neuro who also blew me off. After seeing several more specialists, I finally found a neuro who did all the right things, tested me and put me in the hospital. I fired my GP and found a new one.

I'm glad your new doc is going to follow through and refer you to another neuro, sounds like he's doing right by you.

There's no way to spare you from feeling upset and worried, I felt that way, too, through all those months of testing and waiting for answers. Just know that if you do have MS, there are lots of therapies for you to choose from and you can live a quality life. And the internet offers a lot of support and info for you.

Hope you'll let us know what happens with the testing.

Thanks for the reply. I was told in the ER 5yrs ago I may have MS which I know I have to do a lot of tests ect before it's determined. But I got worried when my doctor actually got things moving which none of my others have In the past. Either way when it's all done whatever it is I'll be sure to update.
