    Exciting News for WebMD Members!

We've been busy behind the scenes building new message boards for you. You'll have new and easier ways to find messages, connect with others, and share your stories.

And, this will all be available on your smartphone or other mobile device!

What Do You Need to Do?

The message board you're used to will be closing in the coming weeks. While many of your boards will be making the move to our new home, your posts will not. Want to keep a discussion going? Save posts you want to continue (this includes your member profile story), so that you can re-post them in the new message boards.

    Home birth?

I have my heart set on having a home birth, I have a very low-risk pregnancy and am very healthy and am not worried about any complications, only the small chance that something can go wrong, I know there is always a chance, but I think it is worth it to at least try to do everything stressfree and natural.... The only problem is that I live an hour and a half away from the nearest hospital and there are no birth centers and few midwives, and they suggest to do a birth in a nice hotel, even though this sounds weird I am getting turned onto the idea, also I want to do a water birth, or at least labor in water, and a nice big jacuzzi tub in a hotel would be nice. Can anyone share any homebirth stories with me? I have done lots of research and really wanna do this! But I wanna be practical! Also how much did it cost for you to do a home birth?? Thanks!!
