The message board you're used to will be closing in the coming weeks. While many of your boards will be making the move to our new home, your posts will not. Want to keep a discussion going? So I am a fingertip dialated and got my membranes sort of stripped... it was uncomfortable and still having crampy contraction every 15 minutes or so. I figure DH and I will go walking again tonight at Walmart before going to his midnight release for God of War 3... so I am hoping that will help a few things a long. She wants me back on Friday to see if it did anything and to do it again if I am more dialated.

I have to laugh though, right before she started she smiled and said - Remember you asked for this! I just kind of laughed and after she was done I told her that DH always tells me that when I complain about the pregnancy! LOL

wow, well congrats on the fingertip! My midwives don't check you at all, because of the risk of infection and the fact that they could accidently induce labor. I want to try, at least until I am more than 2 weeks overdue, to let it come naturally and not even get my membranes stripped or anything. I'm hoping/wanting my labor to start on its on, when she's ready to come out.
That being said though, I'm a little jealous! I would like my labor to start now!! I'm ready to meet my little girl.

Well don't be too jealous... I haven't gone into labor yet... LOL it gave me more random contractions and that is about it.

yeah, i've had those off and on. She's been tricking me. Some days it feels like i have them all day, then the next nothing at all!

I know it is very frustrating. I find the random painful contractions the worse. Because they get my hopes up so high... *sigh*

I don't think there are enough labor vibes in the world to help me...

Had my 40 week appointment yesterday. The midwife said that her head was down in position where it should be for birth, and that's pretty well locked in there. Yeah! :) My next appointment, if I don't have her before than is Thursday, March 25th and she said she would do an internal at that point to see what the hold-up is. I still can't believe the time has come! So excited!! Hopefully we'll both be holding our babies soon Gigi!
