Diarreha problems with 3 month old

My little granddaughter just turned 3 months old the 8th. She had been having trouble with gas and my daughter decided to put her on Gentlease formula. She seemed to still have painful gas so she tried soy formula for one day. Toots did not like the taste so my daughter put her back on the Gentlease.She has since developed diarreha (its been around two weeks so we don't believe it's because of the changing to soy for that one day). It is not that watery but looks like cottage cheese and she goes quite often. She is a happy baby as she doesn't seem to be gassy anymore. Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem and what they did to treat the diarreha.
