Bowel Movements

I have an 8 week old great grandson who is having problems having a bowel movement. He is not constipation, but cannot have a bowel movement without outside stimulation, such as a anal thermometer.
He is not allowed any juice yet, and water is not helping. We need a solution other than our Dr. advice of Karo surup.

im not saying the dr is going to like this but when i had this problem i put a little bit of cran-apple juice in his formula just a little not even half maybe an ounce it helped all it does is make it easier for the little guy
