Breastfeed one month old-constipation?
Scarletthunder posted:
My breastfeed one month doesn't have any of the classic signs of constipation but has not had a bowel movement in 6 days. She is gassy, dosen't have a temperiture and dosen't seem to be in distress but I'm still very concerned about this. She is having about 10-12 wet diapers a day. What if anything should I do about this? It's the weekend and I haven't been able to catch her pediatrician. Any advice for a new mom would help.
Olivetre responded:
It should be okay. My daughter would go days without a bm and it would still look loose. They tend to absorb more of breast milk than formula and have less bms. With her having plenty of wet diapers i'm sure that's the case. If she was having less than 5 wet then I would be more concerned.
There is also a Breastfeeding community that you can post this on.
