size of my fetus
An_255030 posted:
what does it mean when a dr tells you that your unborn baby is at six percent out of one hundred percent at your stage of pregnancy. Im now at 28 weeks. Thank you for your help.
Dan Brennan, MD responded:
Sometimes doctors will use percentiles to compare children/fetuses to their peers.

Being at the 6th percentile means that she is bigger than 6 percent or her peers. You can also say that 94% of her peers are larger than her.

The trend is probably more important that the actual number.

If you knew the previous percentiles, then we could put it into better context.

Hope that helps,
