Cold Season
An_248329 posted:
My 7 week old seems as though she is congested when she is eating and breathing at times. She does have some boogies in her nose. Her cry is also different like she might have an upset stomach. She does seem to have a lot of gas, and full dirty diapers. There has been a slight fever, but that is after she has been crying. Should I take her in? Or what should I do?

Babies hate it but suck out her nose when you notice it. It sounds like she has a cold. Unless she has a bad cough then they will more than likely tell you conservative treatment. Such as with congestion. Bringing baby into a bathroom with a shower. Turn it on as hot as it can go so she can get the steam (don't put her in it of course. just use it for the steam). Also I just recently learned that johnson and johnson as a baby bath stuff out there for use with babies with colds. Babies temps will go up with crying as does everyones. Full dirty diapers is a good thing. She might have a bit of a tummy troubles. You could try gripe water which is all natural. Gas drops made my son vomit a lot. But you could try gas drops as well. If she has a high fever or develops a cough or becomes lethargic or wont eat then you should take her in.
