Swollen Lymph node?
An_224532 posted:
What do swollen lymph nodes feel like when they are being examined? I had thyroid cancer a few years ago and I've been told that it's completely gone, but I think I might have a swollen lymph node in the left side my neck for whatever reason. My dad is a physician and I asked him if he could feel it too, and he thought he felt a hard lump that he wasn't able to move. When pressed on, the pain radiates from my neck to my collarbone/shoulder, all the way down my left arm. I've be reassured that I'm cancer-free, but I was wondering if anyone had any ideas what this could be. I'm going to get an MRI next week to find out why I can't lift my left arm (Fibro? pulled muscle?) or maybe it could be the lymph node? The pain really does prevent me from being able to use my left arm.
