Cut behind bottom teeth that won't heal?
walkbyfaith0314 posted:
Hi there,

So about 2.5 weeks ago my 1 year old grabbed inside my mouth with his fingers and scratched my gums behind my lower front teeth. It bled for several minutes, and I accidentally hurt it again eating a tortilla chip a few days after the initial incident.

Now, is this anything to worry about?

I swished salt water after it happened, but have recently been using Peridex left over from wisdom tooth surgery due to the fact my teeth are in poor shape.

Thanks for the input.

It's nothing to worry much but do have regular brushing and flossing of your teeth carefully, but stay clear of the scratched areas. Do also rinse out properly at every couple of hours witha mixture of and ? teaspoon of salt with a cup of warm water .Try to eat soft foods like gelatine, yogurt, pudding, and macaroni & cheese to prevent further scratching.
