    Exciting News for WebMD Members!

We've been busy behind the scenes building new message boards for you. You'll have new and easier ways to find messages, connect with others, and share your stories.

And, this will all be available on your smartphone or other mobile device!

What Do You Need to Do?

The message board you're used to will be closing in the coming weeks. While many of your boards will be making the move to our new home, your posts will not. Want to keep a discussion going? I have a close friend who had a liver transplant at the age of 3. She just turned 28 last month, and in the recent weeks her health has gone down hill and I am looking for some honest advice from someone. We noticed early Sept yellowing of the eyes. She went and had testing done and it was confirmed her counts were very high.

Over the next couple of weeks, she has totally lost energy, and never gets out of bed and can hardly eat, and is constantly sleeping. Recently, she has been in and out of the hopital due to her magnesium level constantly dropping, and sharp pains in her stomach. Her body weight was 105 poinds and now with allo f the fluid retention she is around 135. The hospital gives her a drip bag for ther Mag. and sends her home, only to return a few days later again with same issue.

Last friday, she was sent to Cleveland and as of Saturday her BP dropped to 70/20, and she was placed in ICU with a tube to help breathe. Now they are starting Kidney Dialysis, as she is having kidney failure at the same time.

This is very vague, but I am looking for someone to please offer some advice to me so I can hoestly know what to expect, as hard as this all is. I created an email address to get a fast er response hopefuly. Jas980(at)yahoo Again, thanks Jason
