    Exciting News for WebMD Members!

We've been busy behind the scenes building new message boards for you. You'll have new and easier ways to find messages, connect with others, and share your stories.

And, this will all be available on your smartphone or other mobile device!

What Do You Need to Do?

The message board you're used to will be closing in the coming weeks. While many of your boards will be making the move to our new home, your posts will not. Want to keep a discussion going? Save posts you want to continue (this includes your member profile story), so that you can re-post them in the new message boards.

Keep an eye here and on your email inbox, we'll be back in touch soon to give you all the information you need!

I have had 3 kidney transplants and about a week ago i had a head cold and thought it finally went away however this morning I woke up coughing, sore throat, itchy ears, and feel like i have a chest cold for it is sore when i take in a deep breath. Should I go to the doctor or will I get over it in a day or two? I have been taking Coricidin HBP Cold and Flu.

Having pain in your chest is not normal for just a regular cold. In my opinion, you need to see a doctor to make sure it hasn't gone into pneumonia or bronchitis (sp?). You can have a sore throat without it being strep but the thing is that you can't tell if you have strep unless you go to the doctor. Strep is nothing to mess around with--especially for someone who has had any kind of a transplant so go see your doctor. Donna
