Hello,
I am a 36-year old mom and wife. In January, I slipped on a magazine (yes, I'm klutzy), and ended up injuring my right knee. I had arthroscopic surgery 2 weeks ago to figure out why it was still painful. When he went it in, he found that the cartilage was in bad condition. I found out yesterday that it was really bad. He gave me quite a few modifications and wants to try injections of a new kind. In the long run, I will have to have it replaced. I guess I'm still in shock. Wondering how others have dealt with it. I'm also wondering what type of shoes you wear that provide the best relief and comfort. Any advice or tips would be great!

I have had a lot of luck wearing either Dankso or Senita shoes. They have high arch support that takes the pressure off of my knees.

In the summer I where Reef sandals with a built in arch support that are also very comfortable.

Good luck!

you can get a recommendation from your ortho dr. podiatrist. or physical therapist. i have severe arthritis at a young age and i find that champion walking shoes (sold at payless) are a nice improvement for me. good luck to you!
