Hi everybody, my Dr told me I have Degenitive Osteoarthritis in my knee I went to him when it first started to pain, I got it from having 6 to 10 charlie horses one night and now my knee don't work any more. This is really starting to scare me, I am not getting any younger and have lots of problems I am starting to sound like my grandmother with all her aliments I am freaking out and only 47 to much to fast why??????

OA is not a death sentence. You also don't get it from having charlie horses. I've had it for years following a traumatic injury in my teens. Just keep it strong and mobile and go live your life.

Often OA occurs simply because it is inherited from a relative. Lotion is motion & it is very important to keep your muscles strong so that they can better support a degenerative joint. I find warm water exercise to be very therapeutic.

Try to remain positive. Exercise helps in that department as well.
